Anyone familiar with these two chains, the 9 speed Dura Ace (CN-7701 I think) and 9 speed Ultegra?
My LBS says the chains are exactly the same, except the DA is polished and obviously costs more. He says rollers/links etc are the same on both.
Is that true?
Thanks

I do not know BUT the ultegra chain works fine on my Dura Ace .....
Additionally, I use Ultegra Cassette for it is much cheaper and I have found no negatives to Dura Ace...... Yeah I like the finish better on Dura Ace, but not that much better.

The 9spd Dura Ace chains stay cleaner looking
and shines more when clean due to the plating
(nickel, i think)

I once tried a dura ace chain on an ultegra bike and it was not as quiet as the original ultegra chain. I suspect the finish and tolerances on the dura ace cassette might be better than the ultegra cassette. Dura ace chain seems to work better with a dura ace cassette.
