I have the paddle, now wondering, once I am in this thing is there anything else that should be done? Springs etc.
Also, any insights for replacing the paddle would be appreciated. Do I have to take the entire lever apart?
Thanks.

Search Youtube for a video. The one that helped me the most was the real short one (about 1 min 20 sec). You have to pause it to see, but it was the closest to my shifter. I would replace the "g" springs if I was tearing into it.

"Dave" that posts here has excellent written instructions too. It's a great resource.

What did people do before youtube? They were very helpful.
Got it done this evening, and back on the bike shifting, fingers crossed. Didn't have the new G springs, but now that I am so good at it there is no fear of doing it again.
Thanks again.

Don't worry. G-springs on the left generally last considerably longer than on the right as they get much less work. Hopefully, this statement will not jinx yours.

After installation of the new paddle and testing the shifting, it appears that it really takes a big push of the paddle to get it up to the big ring. Is this due to the fact that this lever works for a double and a triple? Or could something be wrong.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
