You're doing much better than I expected Lance. Attack on the first curve of Mt. Ventoux and don't look back until after the finish.

Don't worry, with all those folks ahead of him, he won't be looking back.

The Mark Cavendish show is almost over, the Tour starts Sunday.

And now some words from an actual bike racer.

. . . The Badger tells it like it is!

I'm kinda amused by this part, though . . .

"There was no polemic between Greg and me. In 1985, I was designated to win the Tour and in 1986, it was his turn. And it happened just like that."

Yeah. Just like that. After Bernie attacked his own teammate repeatedly. :D

Ya gotta admit. Bernie's way of looking at things is pretty funny. LOL

"It's just an earpiece with a Gigolo on the other end" or some such . . . LOL!

He also had an interesting take on heart rate monitors and other such training/racing technology. Definitely old skool. A big mouth that could back it up on the bike. He made tactical errors sometimes and it only added to his charm. I liked that.

. . . I forget which Tour, where some protesters blocked the road and he got into a fist fight with them. Classic! Don't mess with the Badger!

I saw a video of that. He was in the crowd swinging before his bike even stopped. That man was a force to recon with and remains so.

Quit giving orders out of the bus and let the race decide it!

ATMO, that statements makes every thing else he has to say suspect.

P.S. Lance you are doing great! Keep it up! The american cycling industry needs you!

The Badger years...different era, different equipment, different deals and different drugs.
