View Full Version : Flattest saddle?

So far I've tried the Specialized Toupe and Phenom. I liked the flattness but the cutout started to dig after a while. I tried the Fizik Antares and Selle Italia SLR Flow and they didn't work at all.

Right now I am on the Fizik Arione, which is better but still has a slight bit of a hump in the middle to me.

I know that saddles are a very personal thing, but what is the physically flattest (side to side and front to back) saddle out there?

I have 3 of these that I'm currently using. They are pretty flat side to side and front to back.

Selle Italia SLK. It comes in a gel version and regular padded. Might be a little narrow, depending on how you sit on it.

Also comes in a 'Ladies' version, which may also work for you.

The inForm saddle is pretty flat front to back. Comes in multiple widths, too. I tried the Toupe, too, but it was torture. Tried the inForm right after and loved it. I have them on both bikes.

Tried one of those too and found that the shape didn't work for me at all. To my anatomy, there seemed to be a hump right in the perineum area.

Never tried the SLK or the InForm. I'll look into those. Thanks.

InForm is NOT flat side to side though. Has a crown very similar to a Regal or Rolls. Specialized Toupe/Phenom is definitely flat in both directions. So is the Koobie Xenon and I think the PRS is also. PRS is about the width of Toupe/Phenom and Xenon is a bit wider, closer to Regal/Rolls. But pretty dead flat and a bit more padded than the Specialized saddles, although VERY FIRM padding.

how about an Aspide? they are fairly flat, but with a little groove for the perineum, sort of like the Toupe, but not as pronounced.

Thanks. That one does look good. I'll see if I can try one.

Another one that I had not considered. I'll try and get one.
