What is the best bang for the buck in a 10 speed campy chain? I have record setup. Anyone use a quick link and what is recommended in this setup? Thanks

I used wipperman chain for several years without problems. It was very easy to remove the chain and it held up well to dry weather riding (not sure I'd ride anything with 10 speeds in the wet--9 yes--10 I'm not so sure).

I like the Wipperman chains (1008 and now 10SX/10S1), but towards the end of their lives, the links seem to get tight.

I've has pretty good luck with KMC chains on my Campagnolo 10 drive trains. The X10SL is pretty bling with the gold colour but the DX10SC works just as well and can be bought for around $25. They both come with a missing link.

I just replaced my Wipperman Chain with about 3000mi on it. I have used Wipperman chains with a quick link the last three change outs. I put a Campy 10S on as replacement this time just because, but used a Wipperman quick link. The only difference I see or hear actually is the Campy makes a bit more noise. I ride in the rain and commute with this bike too, and as long as I keep it them clean and lubed I don't notice a big difference in either rain or dry. Sorry for the long winded response. Wipperman is less expensive, Campy cost more. I like both but definatly use a quick link for ease of service.

Have a great Day.

Hate Wipperman chains and their quick link. Prefer Campy chain with Forster Super Link III.
