What exactly is a Max II mtb?

Hi all,

I've been on the lookout for a nice T-Max for a while, and have come across a Max II.

From what I can tell, it is from ~1994, and has the swaged/butted/bi-ax ovalized CC tubeset. It's from the era of the ATX and ATi, but doesn't show up in the old catalogues.

Were these a small-run revivial of the T-Max? Any thoughts on how they compare?

It's a great little hardtail. Bombproof. One downside is that its only a 1" headset.
