Ever own a frame that you just thought felt 'clunky'??
I have a Ridley Excalibur....and I'm just not 'digging' it.
Despite keeping clean and checking and rechecking, lubing, etc. I still get clunking feeling/noises from the headset area, and creaking from the BB area.
I know the creaking from the BB area probably isn't due to the frame itself....
But I'm pretty fed up with the headset design on this thing.
I want to go back to a traditional headset on a sturdy frame.
Any used 54cm C50's out there??
The Mevici in the classifieds is damn tempting, but a bit too much $$ for me at the moment..

I had a Cannondale hardtail MTB that never felt 'right'. I could never set up the shifting for any sustained period of time, the seatpost kept slipping and it had a weird squeak I never sorted. It just rode kinda 'wrong' too, I always thought it was just a bit small for me and therefore unbalanced

I'd bought the bike s/h and so I just got rid on Ebay. The buyer phoned me a week later to ask if I realised the whole thing was out of alignment in various ways, as if twisted somehow! I had never realised

I gave him his money back.

I doubt this helps with your Ridley. Well I'd certainly hope this does not apply!

a lot of carbon frames leave me feeling this. and most aluminum frames as well.
