Greetings!

A work associate of mine is looking to replace his round bars with a flat-top set for some additional hand comfort. His challenge is that he needs 46cm bars to fit his size (tall and wide), and his budget is limited to staying below $150. His current bars have an ergo bend, which he prefers.

He is open to both carbon and alu, but would love to go carbon if possible. He saw the Carbonlord bars on eBay, but I have no experience with them.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

TC

I use these:

Velo-Orange has other flat bar types as well:

Rereading your post, maybe you mean something other than what I though you meant by flat bars--are you talking about a flat area on the top of drop bars? If so--sorry for my irrelevant reply!

How about these?

or these by Stella Azzurra? I have a version of these on my Ottrott:

Yes, he is looking for ergo drop bars with a flat top section. I looked at the 3T bars, but they do not come wide enough. The 46cm width is the challenge; there are a bunch that go out to 44cm, but not many 46s.

Thanks

No experience personally, but these meet your specs.

He mentioned the Carbonlord as an option, but I have only heard of this source through this forum.

Any Carbonlord bar users out there? I saw their cranks on eBay, and they look interesting. Kind of shaped like a carbon DA of sorts, but kinda heavy.

Sorry, missed that bit.
