Smartwool.

They make a thinner than normal sock. I bought 13 pairs. Lasted longer, are cooler and smell less than other socks--including DeFeet.

In the summer I enjoy ultimate in freedom and at 5:30 AM one less thing to put on.

Although for the spring I have been happy with some Capo's I bought. Very thin.

Euro Socks:http://www.eurosock.com/ESNA_products/Euros/Bike/bike.htm#s Really very nice, fit extremely well, comfy, Serotta had them for a while in their store. Many LBS have them or they can be purchased online.

Love em.
Are they available in bulk pricing?
I've never bought that many at once.

Thin, thinner, doesn't matter. I've been slowly switching from Coolmax to Merino wool. It doesn't seem to make much difference to me whether they are Smartwool, or DeFeet Wooleators, or anybody else's brands as long as they are Merino. IMO they are cooler in the heat, warmer in the cold, and just better all around.

Thin wool is very good. I just got some of the Serotta branded thin woll socks and they are the ticket.

I've always prefered thin socks and Sock Guy is my favorite brand currently.

Smartwool socks are great for days that are not going to be wet. Soggy Smartwool socks are a drag.

Sockguy coolmax socks are good, too.

DeFeet Aireator, Levitator, and Wooleator are some of the best.

Eurosocks, I have been using them for the last couple of summers and like them very much.

Shrug, they might be.

I was given a gift certificate for $75 to Sierra. The socks were on sale and I got a e-mail offering 20% off anything. Made it worth while.

I suspect you could call up a Smart Wool dealer and ask them if they'll cut you a bulk price. In today's economy someone probably would.

I just got a bunch of Swiftwick 4" olefin socks. I'm loving them for the warmer weather. They have a nice firm cuff on them which I like.

I also have Rapha, DeFeet, Smartwool, and others, but the Swiftwick are my faves.

Smartwool.

+3 on the smartwool. You can even wear them a couple days in a row if you have to. They wash out real easy though and dry fast too. They make a superlight wool blend and then a light wool. Both are good for summer. The superlight ones are awesome(super thin- you can almost see through them) but I haven't been able to find them in awhile.

James, these are not specifically cycling scoks they are sold as running socks but they are better than any cycling sock I have worn, check out the Pro Pacer at the bottom of the page on the link. The best feature is that they have a hand linked seamless toe, no bulky stitching on top to rub against the inner top of your shoe, very comfortable. They are very thin and breath very well. They are sold locally at Marathon Sports, I dig 'em.

Very much like my Smartwool socks - lighter weight for summer. I actually found some cycling socks once - very hard to find locally.

I've been wearing DeFeet Aireator's for years. I recently bought a pair of Castelli TM's because they didn't have my size in the Aireators. I like the Castelli's better.

I'm a DeFeet guy too but Sole makes a really thin sock if that is what you are looking for.
