I'm going to switch out old dura ace to slightly used older campy 10 spd...is it worth it to spend the extra dollars on the more recent ultra shift or just get the standard 10 spd ergo levers?

I have both and for my hands, I prefer the new hood shape.

Just my $.02

The new shape is the same cost as old shape, basically, get the new shape.

Is there any performance upgrade in shifting with the Ultra shift?

I can't remember what UltraShift is exactly, or if it's a feature on the new 11 speed gear. If you are comparing the two iterations of 10 speed that Campy offered, here's my 2 cents. I have 10sp Record from 2005 and 10sp Chorus from 2007; the latter has the "QuickShift" front/left Ergolever and front derailleur, and it definitely makes a difference -- shifts from the small to big ring take noticeably less effort.

That's the answer I'm looking for....looks like I'll spend the extra $$$ for ultrashift.

Thanks

the shape is the big upgrade. front shifting difference is over rated. QS, quick shift, is discontinued. New shifter are not QS enabled, although it has been pointed out the new shifters and the older QS front der works fine.

I don't get too worked up over front shifting, especially campy style, click, click go.

QS is still there, it's just not an advertised feature. All it ever amounted to was a little less dead travel in the left finger lever. That hasn't changed.
