I know they don't make em like they used to, but is there something I'm missing here?

Perhaps just the right person at the right price at the right time for an emotional purchase?

I could be wrong here, but I believe that this derailleur was made for one or two years only beginning in 1992 and wasn't "officially" called C Record. 1992 was the first year of "Record 8" (instead of using the C Record name) and for Campagnolo's Ergo system.

The shifters, derailleurs, and dual-pivot brakes (1993?) didn't have any markings on them other than "Campagnolo". Subsequent versions began to have "Record" or "Record Titanium" silkscreened onto them.

Maybe the short production run and clean design with limited graphics has contributed to their desirability?

Regardless, I've seen NOS/NIB examples of this derailleur go for over $500 on ebay!

Cheers,

Texbike

that is *extremely* clean for 'used'...i mean there's barely chain scuff on the inside of the outer cage. has a lot to do with the price.

it seems like the high-end 8s stuff has really gone through the roof in the last couple years. earlier (ie: SR) seems to have fallen off a bit.

be sure to advertise / ship internationally. most of the stuff like this that i've sold has gone to the pacific rim...taiwan, japan, singapore.
