Matchy-Matchy: What matches Ultegral SL components

Someday I'd love to own a bike with Ultegra SL on it. What looks good with the group?

How well do the following match the components?

Unfortunately, I've never had a chance to put these components together side-by-side. I'm just putting together a dream build in my head. Any other suggestions?

If you can fit on a 60 X 58 it woudl look great on the Curtlo Club racer that is for sale in the classifieds.

The PRO Bike Gear (by Shimano) bars and stems come in "Ice Grey" to match the Ultegra SL exactly.

Unfortunately, that Curtlo is much too big for me...Damn giants!

My Legend Ti cross/all-rounder bike is over in the photo section.
The crank and Fd are Ultegra SL.
I think it looks sharp with the bare Ti frame. The black OP's also go well together.

Funny thing is that the recent, though old now, Campagnolo 'century' finish Centaur stuff matches it pretty well. Makes for great conversation on group rides.

I hear that this is the last year for Ultegra SL.... Ultegra will come out with a new group at the end of the summer and from what I hear SL is no more.


never say "no more" but there awill be some good deals on the old SL and Ultegra at some time this year.

watch out for the ck pewter. the spacers do not match the headset. they sometimes don't even match themselves depending on where you get them. And yes it is more purplish than pewter.
