More and more information is coming out about what certainly seems like pervasive doping that has taken place in the pro peloton. Here's an article from CyclingNews that discusses the doping programme that took place in the team Telekom/T-mobile squad...Freiburg report details cycling's dark side (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=features/2009/freiburg_report_may09)

The double standard out of this is what gets me. Zabel is treated way differently than Der Kaiser, yet they were probably on similar programs. Ullrich can't show his face but Zabel gets parades and dignity. What is he now, the sprint Coach at Columbia or something. What does that say?

You have guys that get hammered by circumstantial evidence or positive tests, never allowed to participate again in the big races again, and others that are allowed to come back (Basso, Virenque, etc.) like they were on vacation or something. Grand Tours, Classics, the works. Is there really much of a difference between Basso and Vino when it comes down to it? If they are going to go after the problem, go after all of them and hash it out evenly. Mixed messages are killing it for me
