Water Bottle Clamp Brain Freeze

Ok,

I'm stuck. Some of you may recall that I posted pictures of a cracked Bianchi Pista frame a couple of months ago. Bianchi did warranty the frame and I have a new bike.

So last night I opened the box and assembled the entire bike. No sweat.

Except...I took the minoura water bottle cage clamp off the old bike, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the darn thing back on the new bike. Yes, I can't figure out a water bottle cage bracket... :crap:

It's like a hose clamp. It goes around the tube and its the darn little slidy integrated bolt thingy that's giving me fits. I see where it all screws in but can't get the ring clamp tightened down.

I'm clearly doing something stupid.

Any words of wisdom would be highly appreciated.

Sometimes it's hard to get the first thread to catch. Try wrapping one or two zip ties around the assembly and pulling them nice and tight. Get everything lined up with a small allen wrench, put it the screw and hopefully you're good to go.
