Hi,

Does any one know of a company that makes a 27t 10 speed final position cassette cog for Campy?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure Miche makes a 10 speed Campy compatible 12-27.

I'm pretty sure neither of those make a 27 last position gear. Miche has 11 thru 28 (no 27) and KCNC makes up to a 26 AFAIK. FWIW, I ran a Miche 12/28 for awhile. The smaller gears wore prematurely IMO and I replaced the 12/13/14. After only around 1,000 miles on the new, with only the Vail Pass to climb during the Triple Bypass, the first position 12 split. This rendered the lock nut useless. It was my good fortune to have a sag less than a mile away and to my surprise the spare wheel with a Shimano 10 worked flawlessly in it's place. YMMV

That's right, Miche makes 10 speed Campy compatible cogs in 27, 28 and 29t:

Now if only they made one in 30t.... :p

When I bought mine, the limit was 28 no 27. A quick check of two online retailers today indicated the same (Here's one http://www.redroseimports.com/Miche_Primatocassette.html). I stand corrected. I would still hesitate buying another based on my experience however.

Sorry it was Recon Ti that made a 12-27 not the KCNC(12-26).

I never heard of red rose import, but as I cited earlier Universal Cycles list a 27, 28 and 29t cogs, as being *in stock* with quantities of at least 9 or 10 of each cog.

Similarly, QBP seems to have them in stock too:

Now, whether you like Miche cassettes is another question. I run a Miche 12-27 9 speed cassette on my Campy rear hub and it works OK. Not as nice as a Campy cassette, but at the price of about $40, its not bad.

If you want an entire cassette, I hear good things about IRD (Interloc Racing) cassettes:

http://www.interlocracing.com/cassettes_steel.html

Further, IRD now offers Campy compatible cassettes in "wide-ranges:"
11-30, 11-32, 11-34, 12-30, 12-32

Good Luck!

i rode a miche 12-27 campy cassette for 5000+ miles last summer. i bought the 28 tooth ring separately after 500 miles to complete a cross country touring trip. although i agree that the miche cassettes are not up to the same level as the campy cassettes, i would not hesitate to buy another one, especially as an inexpensive climbing or touring specific cassette to have when needed. the individual cogs are a nice feature IMHO.

Now if only someone made an 11 speed 12-29 for Campy…

You can take a 10 speed 13-29 Campi and replace the 13 with a 12 or replace the two smaller sprockets with an 11 and 13 to balance the gap.
