Serotta forum,

I just want to take a moment to Thank Ray @ HandleBra. I want to tell thousands of people about my positive experience with Ray. Some folks just don't get customer service, I could rant for days on where business go wrong, loose one customer and they will tell 10 folks about their experience and those 10 will tell others ect.

Now Ray on the other hand has been fantastic to work with; he is truly very excited about what he does and he wants others to get just as excited. It is evident in every correspondence we have had. I personal don't see how he has had the time to respond so thoroughly to all my silly request, but he doesn't miss a beat. It is like I am his only customer; So I would like to say, "Thank you Ray".

If anyone is looking to add that extra bling to his or her ride, I would highly suggest looking at Handle Bra. Other than your saddle and pedals, the bars are the only other contact point of your bike and you deserve to have the best. Try Handlebra you will be pleasantly surprised.

P.S. I am in NO way affiliated with handle bra just a satisfied customer.

It's a geography issue.

It's a geography issue.

I am working on International Shipping as we speak ..
Gimme about 10 days or so .... Heck ... it took almost a month to
optimize (for both HB and the Customer) Domestic shipping.

My real concern is the White leather. I have not found a excellent
way to preserve it and retain the "whiteness". Obenauf/Proofide/303
Protectant all turn the White into a cream or lite grey....

One possibility is Meltonian Neutral #1 white cream. It darkens it a hair
But Probably ok for most cyclists. I used this on my Brooks Saddle with
nice results. One does needs to wipe/brush/polish it off though. It dries
into the leather within 2-3 minutes.

All leather, regardless of application, (shoes, belts, horse saddles, boots,
Brooks Saddles, Motorcycles leather and HB) need a bit of nourishment
now and then.

I think I now know why one rarely seems White leather...
Well, natural white leather like HB. Once heavily tanned it
will be ok ... But then the leather no longer feels like leather
but processed plastic. The whole idea behind HB was both
functionality and aesthetics. Stuff has to feel just right. ;)

Even with that I'm still inclined to select Pam White for some of my bikes and Too Tall Black for the others...

Got my Dunkel Lager tape on Thursday. One thing lacking in the previous descriptions is the smell of fine leather. My wife says it smells like a Coach purse.

love the product. I for one do not care if the white turns a bit creamy colored. This is the Bartape I have been wanting for years. Thanks Ray

I've been doing some experimentation ....

The Obenauf /Proofide goes a long way to enrich and protect the
leather wrap from the elements and life's daily onslaughts ...

However, the Obenauf does little to promote or retain the color ...

Enter a potential solution .... Meltonian makes a shoe cream in a
Multitude of colors. It's pigment rich. Apply this to the leather.
(work in, let dry for a few minutes and then diligently wipe off)

This seems to retain and rejuvenate and the original color.

The Meltonian White is # 171. ;) just Google Meltonian

I just applied some Meltonian cream (color close to my wrap and
saddle) to the HB wrap and mt Brooks Saddle with nice results.

Ya gotta rub the stuff off though with a clean cloth.
Else you will get the residual on your hands and tush.

Received mine yesterday...

VERY luxurious. Thanks, Ray.

The test begins next week. There is a distinct difference in the treated and untreated leather... white is such a PITA.

I love both anyway.

"...Else you will get the residual on your hands and tush..."Reason #142 for black cycling shorts! ;)
Additionally, that white Meltonian does a great job on shoes that have received day-to-day scrapes and need extra pigment.
There once was a product called "Sani-White" that was matte and perfect for that kind of spruce-up, too.
