Does anyone have any feedback on these new cranks withe the outboard bearings in a size 50/34? Also, is the only difference between the SL-K and the Gossamer Mega Compact carbone vs. aluminum? I'll run it with DA everything else.

I just got a set mounted on my a few weeks ago, but the holidays and the weather have conspired to prevent a test ride.

I believe the major differences are in weight and materials: carbon vs aluminum. You could check the FSA website at: www.fullspeedahead.com and probably get more info.

The new SL-K looks nice and seemed to work fine with the D-A 10 speed driveline at least while it was in the shop. Since I replaced the older FSA compact carbon crankset (which got shifted to my Concours) I can't beleive there will be anything significantly different in compatibility.
