Dear Raffle Participants:
I am sorry that I have not sent out a note prior to today, as I have been out of the country. As of April 15, 2009 not enough Speedvagen or Spectrum raffle tickets were sold to cover the cost of either frame. As per the rules, I am supposed to donate all of the funds to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

I am upset that I was not able to award either frame. Many people have stated that they would have liked to purcahse one or more tickets.

Therefore, I am combining the raffle tickets that were sold for the Spectrum and the Speedvagen frames into one raffle for a Spectrum frame. I chose the Spectrum frame, as Tom Kellogg is able to design a bike that meets your needs (Road, Cross, Touring etc), whereas the Speedvagen was Cross Specific. This raffle will close on September 19, 2009. In order to award the frame, 70 more tickets will need to be sold. If 70 more tickets are not sold by the end date, then all money will be donated to the charity.
I will update the number of tickets sold every week, starting on May 15, 2009.

The team is having problems with our PayPal account, therefore all entries must be mailed to me at:

Stuart Levy
Cross Country for Chrohn’s
1656 Gelding Lane
Vienna, Va. 22182

Check Payable to: Cross Country for Chrohn's

$35 each.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a PM.

Thanks.

Stuart

Stuart, that's a great solution. You get to keep the excitement of the raffle, and who wouldn't want a new Spectrum.

Come on, folks, this is a great cause. Buy up some more of those tickets!

Pete:

I have to agree with you, as I probably have logged about 175K miles on TK designed bikes.

Are you pulling the winner as soon as you get 17 more entries, or in September?

Very good question. I will pull the winner as soon as the tickets are sold. I spoke with Tom the other day, current wait times are about 8 weeks after fiunal design. Someone can have a new frame before the end of the summer

Stuart,

I've tried many times to reach someone through crosscountrycrohns@gmail.com, to no avail. I tried to email you privatley through this forum and another, with no response. My check is on its way to you, but it appears you did not receive any of my messages and my name is not on your list of ticket buyers. Please return my check as soon as it is received. Thank you.

Not to be rude, but in the spirit of the charity that this is actually supporting, even if your name didn't get entered in the drawing, it's pretty tacky in mind to ask for your check back. Just a personal opinion. Glad you were able to make the cutoff, although I think you missed the point.

Fair point, not rude; I had not considered that, I was simply frustrated at not being able to make contact until I stumbled on to this forum.
