what is the shallowest drop on a handlebar with the flat (wing) tops? i prefer aluminum but carbons fine.

i currently use the fsa wing pro but hardly ever use the drops. i'm on the top or hoods 90% of the time.

women's bars don't bother me as long as i can get it in a 44.

http://road.fullspeedahead.com/fly.aspx?taxid=223&layout=product+1 FSA makes a great shallow drop bar; best update I made to my bike without question. I went with the K-Force Carbon but they make an aluminum version too.

A wise man one said that if you never use your drops, maybe the bars are too low....

That said, the FSA shallow bars are 2cm less drop than their standard wing pro

+2. Not just reach/drop - the FSA shape is IMHO the best of the short/shallows. Nice, truly flat transition tops to hoods and the drop shape/sweep is really good as well. Tried Deda Presa and Easton SLX3 the on both getting the flat transition tops to hoods was hard with out throwing out other angles.

PS I have the K Force carbon on one bike and the alloy version on another. They are slightly different shapes. I prefer the drop on the carbon as it sweeps down more gradually than the alloy version which has a tighter bend back once it sweeps down past the hoods, if that makes sense.

Agreed. The Bontrager VR Fit is close (no flat tops), but the drops aren't as long as those on the FSA.

3T Ergonova are also very shallow drop, short reach and have flat tops.

The new Ergonovas fit my large hands much better than the FSAs.

I like my Easton EC-90 SLX3 bars a lot better than the FSA K-force compact.

The flat top on my FSA bars was angled up a bit and was not comfortable to grasp. They also created a very long reach to Campy brake levers. The c-c brake hood spacing will be 2cm less than the width at the ends.
