My rear wheel (Easton Circuit) is toast, and thinking of buying a replacement rear wheel with a DT Swiss RR 1.2 rim. I'd like the front rim to match. Was wondering if I could replace the front Easton rim with the DT Swiss rim. According to some specs I saw on Repartocorse.com the Easton is 28mm while the RR 1.2 has a profile height of 30.3. The hub on the Easton seems pretty decent, and the RR 1.2 has a 24h option to match the Easton hub.
Could I use the same spokes and replace the nipples with shorter nipples, or is there another way of making this work without blowing a lot of dough?
