Depends on what other types of canti’s…

I think the main differences between canti brakes run along these lines:
- high profile vs low profile
- threaded post vs. smooth post

The Empella’s will work much like any other wide profile (Paul’s, TRP, Tektro 720s), so it comes down to whether you like the post style. (I personally prefer the threaded ones for ease of toe-in, angling, etc.)
