Bridgetown Barbados - Has anybody ridden there before?

I am flying to Bridgetown Barbados and I am thinking about bring my bike. I am looking for infor from anybody who has ridden there before.

I've ridden in a car and bus in Barbados and it's no place I'd want to ride a bike, people in the Islands drive a bit crazier than we do...Yikes!

My wife went there a couple years ago on a "girl trip" and has limited memorys of the event due to the alcohol-fueled haze that seemed to dominate. The limited photographic evidence is dominated by her and her buds either on the beach or sitting at the bar. I have declined to investigate further due to fear of what I may discover. After all, what goes, stays.

My humble advice is to pack two swim suits and a pair of flip-flops. Maybe a t-shirt or two. Budget the bike travel costs to rum. If you REALLY feel like getting your ya-ya's out, rent a beach cruiser one day. Besides, I wouldn't be suprised if a lycra-clad American cruising the side roads on a spendy bike was never heard from again...
