Just saw an ad for a new book on bikes. Has anyone out there read it yet? Apparently it's an "illustrated history." I haven't heard of the author - David V. Herlihy.

I got it as a birthday present from my sister-in-law.

Very nice book. Not sure it's something I'll sit and read by the fire on winter nights but it's facinating to thumb through and pick out information.

Yep, I saw a review in the Wash. Post and thumbed through the entire book at borders trying to convince myself it was worth buying. Walked out with a cook book. 'Snot that this book isn't well exexcuted IT IS! I just am not in the market for a history book...which it is and a really really good one at that.

Yes...there were enough pictures

I'm reading it now. It looks good and I urge everyone to buy at least one copy ('course I'm a friend and colleague of the author's mother :) ).

It looks like a good book, I did the same thing as Too Tall though. I'll probably pick it up another time.
