No. I am impressed that he is building a 953 stainless steel frame.

I talked to him at the San Diego show and his bikes were beautiful and he seemed like a really nice guy. He is one I'm considering...

Ben is currently building me a MAX-tubed frameset.

He's been very communicative and forthright, keeping up the email and the photos. He may be a bit younger than some of the more well-known builders, but he shows a real love of perfection and an excess of skill with the frames. If you're considering a custom bike, Ben Farver and Argonaut would be an excellent choice.

I'm very excited about mine. Photos will be, of course, provided for the required "post and gloat" session in the Custom Bikes area. :)

Make sure you read his blog: http://argonautcycles.com/blog/

no clue on argonaut, but even if a newer builder, as long as you know what you're getting, communicaiton is good, etc....basically you trust talking to him, then go for it.

its funny i was searching old threads and read through this rather lengthy one that is a bit related in terms of how do you know if a newer builder is worth their stuff.
