Important stuff here - color selection on a build! :p

I can go with the silver with black stripe Arione and the matching silver bar tape (LPR team edition) or the all-black Arione with black bar tape. I'm leaning towards the silver option but I'm thinking that I just might end up with too much silver/grey on the bike and not enough contrasting tones. I've also got a pair of black Conti GP4000 tires incoming that I could use instead of the Michelins PR2's. (The Michelins were a royal pain in the arse to mount onto the Rolf Sestrieres, btw.)

FWIW, groupset will be standard Ultegra 10-speed (silver).

Or something else I should consider perhaps? Everything I've mentioned above is already in the garage, so nothing needed to purchase. I'd love to get a matching Nitto post to go with the Pearl stem, but that may have to come later.

The silver saddle makes the bike look lighter, in an ethereal way. I have a silver arione on my naked Ti Concours, with the Deda red bar tape. Black Serotta decals. I like the look of the silver saddle with naked Ti. The Deda red would look killer on your Hors as well.

OK, so not all the responses fit into nice, neat boxes, so as best I can make out the tally:

Black: 4
Silver: 5
Red: 1 (or maybe I should count 2 since Elefantino was so emphatic in his choice!)

Looks like the silver saddle is the leading favorite with silver or red tape as a complement. I hadn't seriously considered using red tape since I've always thought bar tape should match the saddle, and I'm just not a red saddle kind of guy. At $10 a roll for Deda tape though, I just might give it a try.

Funny thing is: when I bought the Arione LPR edition, I had the option of picking up the Acqua e Sapone edition as well (black with red stripe.) I went back and forth because it was a pretty good deal, but not so good that I was compelled to buy both. In hindsight, that saddle would have been the one on the Hors now had I picked it up.

Anyway, thanks for all the responses, and final build pics will be posted when complete. Just haven't had much time with the nice weather out here - too busy riding!

BTW, for GG: bars are Deda 215s.
