From the various cycling sites, not to give away too much.

Lance's new time trial postion and sprinting outlook were good.

The better included an overbooked velodrome for Roubaix, time trials in the snow, to the punishment from the british cycling coach for his worlds riders.

Although after the Velonews Sunflower story a few years back, I am ready. I did fall for that one.

I really fell for the CN story a few years ago about the next TdF Grand Depart starting in Dubai...and the folks in Dubai were constructing an artificial hill (think like a made ski jump or some such) to make for challenging terrain.

That *could* have been possible.

I also didn't drink my coffee before reading that.

These days, I'm more ready.

I loved the NPR story on "whale farming" (in Illinois!) yesterday.

The story (http://marketplace.publicradio.org/display/web/2009/04/01/pm_new_staging/) on Marketplace actually had me going for a while . . .That's a very good one, because it's not completely implausible. :)

I mean, out-of-work actors like Treat Williams might be glad to this kind of thing: http://curbed.com/archives/2007/02/13/adventures_in_staging_all_in_the_family.php.

The guy is reading a brief his lawyer sent him regarding the insider trading indictment he received last week. Mom and daughter are watching a porn movie featuring known "celebutantes", and little Johnnie is writing a paper on "Why I Shouldn't Sell Heroin to Other Fourth Graders in My Class" that his school principal mandated in lieu of suspension.

The second photo shows papa trying to do a Johnny Cash imitation hoping that his days in prison will go well for him. The wife notice the glazed eye stare is sipping on a glass of chilled methadone.]
