Hi, do you know if the cannondale si carbon crankset on system six 1 2008 had a recall ???

if i recall there was a recall on the si cranks but i believe it was on the 2007 model. check with your c'dale dealer.

The only 2008 System Six that was included in the Si Carbon Crankset recall was the 2008 System Six LiquiGas 3. All other bikes were 2007 model years.

...which is not to say that if you have a different bike or different model year Si Carbon Crankset you're in the clear: Lots of anecdotal evidence [sic] about problems with these Cannondale-by-FSA cranks both before and after the recalled models. I myself have a 2006 Synapse with the Si Carbon Crankset and it (the crank) has been replaced twice (all under warranty, no questions asked). As the kids say these days, it is Teh Suk.
