Bid on a 2009 NAHBS show bike and own a one-of-a-kind Serotta!

Serotta's crew crafted two one-of-a-kind bicycles — an Ottrott 17" 29er and a MeiVici 58cm 'cross bike— for the 2009 North American Hand-Built Show and we're auctioning them off to the highest bidder!

The auctions are live on eBay through 3/31 and are open to domestic and international buyers.

Click here for photographs, complete details and to link to eBay auction pages. . . http://www.serotta.com/auction

Good luck!!

Am I blind, or is there very little geometry info on these?

(Not that I'm going to bid, I was just wondering.)

this frame has an unorthodox 4.5mm down-sloping top tube

What else do you need?
I would expect more geometry information, but maybe for the 3,500 you are just paying for the optionality of it fitting you.

It may be worth it, just for the parts.... they look fresh!

First impressions don't always count. I had at first quite liked the decals on the cross ride. Now,....I think the're totally naff. The winner ought to ask nicely if they can be changed to the 'authentic' style - might help with retaining the value of such a one-off item.

Hey Louis, these should work great for you :) Buy them leave them in boxes as you don't ever open your new toys and ride them do U ?? :)

so why ask for geometry ?

Without some hard numbers on the geometry these nice bikes will never sell on Ebay.

I hope Serotta will dig up the spec sheets and share them.

The cross bike was called a 58 in size because it has the identical contact point locations as the HSG Cross in size 58, though that geometry is no longer on the Serotta website. Some other aspects of the handling geometry were modified from the HSG, and are more in kind with some current and ancient trends. I'd rock it, for sure.

Jason and others: The Meivici Cross was one of a kind for NAHBS. Long term we will definately look at doing a carbon cross. Right now we do in steel, ti, and IT (Ottrott) format.

In person the bike is spectacular. Pictures don't do it justice.

Someone with zero feedback won the Meivici Cyclocross bike for only $4,350!

Isn't the Zipp 404 wheelset alone worth more than $2,000?

I saw the selling prices and number of bids on another forum that I just visited. Are those prices really accurate? I would think that the prices would be between Serotta and each buyer unless each buyer and Serotta wanted to release them.

It was on ebay so anyone watching the listing would know what it sold for.

That was my thought also...... ebay is public and open otherwise it's not an auction.
