Will Serotta ever produce titanium seat posts and stems like a couple other bicycle companies do? I would like to have these components in a polished finish like my Legend with Serotta emblems on them. Some titanium headset spacers that would be nice also. If you want to make them custom I would be willing to wait if Serotta does not want to inventory. Of course I would hope that they would be competitely priced. And of course some color on them to match the color of my red Serotta decals.

Absent Serotta doing this, what manufacturer(s) make these items in a finish that will look good on my naked, polished titanium Legend? Right now I have black and may stick with this but if the finishes matched great I would like to have Ti.

Does having a titanium seat post make it less likely it will cold weld/freeze in the seat tube? I know a properly maintained bike with an aluminum seat post does not have much danger of this occurring. Just curious.

Currently I use a Thompson post and stem and Chris King spacers.

It seems to work rather well with my Legend Ti.

In the past, Serotta did offer post and stems, made by different
manufactures.

Eriksen makes a nice Ti post with different color accents, dunno if they offer polished though.

Purely Custom does spacers in different colors and designs, but not in Ti.

I did not think to ask that. They call it the "Sweet Post" and I was seriously considering it except for my hesitancy on the finish. This might be a winner! Thanks.

The Deda components in "dark metal polish" are made out of aluminum, but they look pretty good on some ti frames.

I recently purchased a Sweet post from Eriksen. I called to inquire about a polished finish and Katie mentioned they would no problem. So, a week later it arrived and it looks incredible, nice satiny sheen. Great post, great customer service too!! Will post pics soon.

My GF won the raffle at NAHBS for the free Sweet Post - she ordered the black one with the polished finish for her Legend. Will post pics when it arrives and is installed.

The polished finish is an upcharge but it is better as the normal finish gets worn if you have a saddle pack that has a strap around the post.

Word to the wise - get the polished finish.

At one time Serotta put their name on an ITM (Italy) threadless stem.
But based on the explanation by DK on how expensive it is to
produce a custom stem,

I think they would stay away from actually
manufacturing components from scratch. Remember they are in the USA,
not China.

dekindy,
I'm not the best photographer, the finish on the post is more satin then a bright polish. It looks much better in person. Hope it helps...

That looks really good. In your opinion does it look good with the Serotta polished titanium? From the picture it appears to be a good match.

I do not see SEROTTA making posts or stems in the next 12 months. The Ericksen is a nice seat post and I have one on my Legend. PETE

I recently got to see a Legend frame up close and it will look nice, probably not an exact match but pretty close. It closely resembles the finish on a King Ti cage. It will look great on any frame though....
