The riders are about 15 miles from the finish in Modesto and VS cuts the coverage off to go to a hockey game. So those who watched a couple of hours of live coverage thinking they'd see the finish are left with their limp "remote controls" hanging in their hands. Great customer service!

The hockey guys announced that the live feed of the finish was on the Versus website. The video was not as good, but I watched the end there.

Until there are more fights in the peleton hockey will rule.

When was the last time hockey trumped _anything_? Just when you thought LA had real clout...

And one of the teams was from Canada!?!

I blame Grant.

Yeah, so I wait to get home and watch the stage. Watching, watching, watching....boom hockey. Lame. Come on Versus. Get it together.

I Tivo'd it, and just about threw the remote into the TV when Versus cut the coverage. I immediately switched over to the 1hr abbreviated showing and at least got to see a replay of the finish.

If Astana had driven the peloton a little harder instead of slacking, they would have finished in time....

Yep, I go to versus.com a few hours later to catch the exciting finish. The first thing I hear as the site loads is Phil exclaiming "Thor Hushovd pulls off the win..." Crap. Thanks a lot Versus.

At least it's on tv.......yes seeing the finish would be great but the fact we get to see it at all!
I went to a local bar to watch stage 2. I don't have cable. I sat there having a beer watching for 2 hours. Only to have some meat head, ironically wearing a Rock jeans hat, switch the station right at the finish. He couldn't understand why I was not so happy with him.
