Look vs Pegoretti

Egad, I'm another steel lover getting bit by the carbon fiber bug.
Currently, I ride a Pegoretti Marcelo. I'm tempted by closeout prices on 2008 Look 585s.

Anyone rode both and in a position to compare the two?
Mind you, I'm not selling the Peg; its hands down the nicest bike I've ever ridden. I'm just looking at different flavor of two wheel pleasure.

Hi,

I have owned both frames and are really apples and oranges.

Marcelo in 55cm is 4 pound steel frame. Look 585 is 2.2 pound lugged carbon frame.

Thus you are talking the difference between a 17-ish pound build and a 15-ish pound build with the same components and parts.

Both ride great but on the Marcelo, you do worry about marring that paint job....
