My buddy from HS used to take his car out on some frozen ponds and drive around, but that is a much different proposition. It had better have been really cold for a long time before I'm getting out on the river and messing around.

Any idea where on the Charles he was riding? It must be close to Boston - the link said Needham, I went to high school there, and the Charles is narrower and has more bends than those shots.

Hard to tell if those MTB tires are studded or not. Maybe just on the front? Props for keeping it mostly upright, but I don't think I'd be in for that part of the ride...
