Saturday and Sunday look to be absolutely radiant here in hot-house Westchester Co. NY. Me and Mikemets are going to bring the rest of the ol' farts to their knees. Well... either that or Starbucks, whichever we get to first. :D

Hope the rest of you weather-challenged are as lucky. You folk from the warmer clims can just move on now without leaving comment. Thank you. :crap:

I'm freezing in San Diego. I just got back from a ride and I'll bet it wasn't over 62 degrees. I had to weat a long-sleeved shirt and knee warmers. Brrrrrrr.

You can bite me too! :D

I rode motorcycles for most of the time I lived in Hawaii. Got wet every day, and then dried out in about 5 minutes.

broke down the drivetrain and cleaned to an inch of it's life. it was filthy.

There's nothing like working on the bike, bringing is back to showroom all the while listening to music like Richard Thompson and his song "1952 Vincent Black Lightning". Can you have a better Friday night? :D

Well, yes you can, but that's another story.

Yes, yes you can. Riding the rollers while listening to "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" sung by the Dale McCurry band. Or get $30 and go to Schenectady with BBDave. ;) :D

I don't think we ever got out of the 30's for the entire ride. In fact, at the start, I think it was more like 28 degrees. Still... it was a gorgeous morning, had 5 of my buddies join me, and I got in 50 miles. The average was nothing to write home about, mid 17's I think I heard someone say, but that was with some good hill climbing mixed in.

Tomorrow promises to be a bit warmer, I'm aiming to complete 100 miles for the weekend which ain't too shabby for December in these here parts.

Good for you Kevan. I did a group ride, 8 others showed up. When I left it was 34 and after 45 miles back to home it was.....35 degrees. The rain never showed up but I can see it on the horizon. I quess I'm going to get wet tomorrow. Still, a chance to ride in December is always a bonus.
Kevan, do you ride your Calfee this time of year? Mine sits waiting until there is dry weather. I'm lucky my "B" bike is a Litespeed with Ultegra.

Jeez--for thirty bucks there’s places right here in Schenectady where I can get “handled!”

Sorry Dave, I crossed threads. :)

It was about 38 when I left and about 28 by the time I rolled up to the driveway. Just starting to get dark. I was able to put in just under 50 miles. Did farily well except my toes started getting numb...Time for some booties.

It's supposed to be a little warmer on Sunday. :)

Today's ride was even better than yesterday's. For December riding I got in a very respectable 98miles for a weekend total, not willing to pedal the parking lot for 2 more miles. Close enough, I say. There were 8 of us this time around and I guess our average slipped back down around 16, but this ride was way hillier than Saturday's. Gorgeous day, rode thru la-de-da Greenwich CT ( you can smell the money) down to Long Island Sound. Temps climbed through the 40's and the car's gauge reported 52 on the drive back home. I was completely overdressed.

Mikemets was in typical form, storming the roads and loving every minute. At one point as Mike steamed off the front, all that could come to mind was yelling, "Unleash the hounds!" Mike would have caught anybody; what great fun...

I hear the weather is turning for the worst this week, but for now, I'm sated.
