Im looking to stock up on some tubulars for next season ....so far ProbikeKit seems to have the best deals...I came across this the other day:
http://www.yellowjersey.org/tt.html
3 tires for 50 bucks is a great price...anyone ever try these ? Are they junk ?
Thanks

I haven't tried the 3/$50 tires from Yellow Jersey....BUT at less than $40/tire shipped, the Vittoria CX's from Probikekit are a great deal...

If you order enough to overcome the shipping charges, ribblecycles has really good prices. They have a little more selection than PBK.
PBK is probably the cheapest, though.

For price and selection, plus a volume discount when you buy 10, I recommend World Class Cycles:

Looks like they have a really good selection, but they don't beat probikekit's prices.
Agg, if only probikekit had a good selection of cyclocross tires.

The YJ tires are not "junk", but you are getting what you pay for. They install and ride like cheap tubulars, which they are.
Using them would depend on why you are using tubulars. If you want a race day tire, then no. If you want the nirvana of of sublime tubular ride, then no. If you have only tubular wheelsets and need an everyday tire, then yes. If you have a old steel road bike with Record hubs and GP4's that you want to ride once in while then yes.

perhaps just to have as a cheap spare - I don't like to ride anywhere without at least a one spare...
I am new to tubulars, but it seems that cheap would work for a ride home until you repair. I know on clinchers I carry 2 tubes and a patch kit, as well as a small boot for those tears (well used to carry a boot... cant seem to find it)
