I am looking for an ISIS BB to mate the Zipp 300 cranks I recently picked up from Bonktown. I'd like to keep it under $100. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

I've been using FSA's in 2 bikes for the last 4 years. I will say that I'm underwhelmed. The one in my dry bike made it 3500 miles before starting to clunk. The rain bike got rough in about 5000 miles. The current one in the rain bike is now at about the same mileage but is working good, crossing fingers. Others have reported similar performance.

Good news, they're cheap ($50 for the Platinum Pro, $99 for the Ti version).

Token or Crank Bros. Ti

If you can find a Race Face Signature XS, go for that...simply because it's easily rebuildable.

Stronglight Twister...available in either Ti or Steel. This BB has very high quality double row bearings on each side and seems to last much longer than any others that I have seen. Assemble with plenty of anti-seize compound to avoid noises.

I'll second this. Having worked on other bikes that have FSA BBs, I have not been impressed. Nearly all of them have some play in them after a short period of time.

Thanks all,
Looks like I'll be going for a Token Ti.

please elaborate on that.

I believe it is because he is more a Stronglight Twister kind of guy.

Yeah...I haven't noticed a dime's worth of difference between the bearing quality of the Token and FSA sets...

FWIW
I have read some accounts where the ZIPP would not properly attach to any other ISIS BB other than a ZIPP.

Thanks, R2. I'll keep my receipt from Bonktown just in case.

the zipp 185 bb is nothing more than a rebranded stronglight twister sl.

if you want something durable, buy a SKF bb

I have a Token and FSA Platinum Pro here. Without bolts, the diff in weight between the 2 is substantial. I understand FSA fudged on their SLK crankset weight, so I wonder if they did the same on the claimed 180g PP BB weight.
