I noticed many of the UK/EU sites do not carry half sizes. great if you ware whole, lousy if you are half (me, I'm 44.5)

I hadn't heard of Wiggle so I just checked them out. Very good prices, similar to PBK, but with a wider range of components.

I thought the US $ was very weak. Can someone please explain to me why these UK sites have so much better prices than the US sites?

I resisted the temptation to buy, but I found some great deals on a few components I've been looking for for ages. Looks my CC is going to take another hit this weekend.

first off i wore a tight 44.5 so a 45 is actally a better fit. id see if i could try on a 45 somewhere if i were you. i did and they were very close. second the pound is getting hamered last year it was 2 dollars to a pound today it went under 1.40. plus uk dosent have crazy middleman like campy usa. i just priced a campag sr group at a place and at todays exchange its under 1600. also the reason im selling my c40 so cheap

I ordered wheels from Wiggle and received them in 6 days, including the weekend. There were no shipping charges and i did not request any preferred delivery. They even sealed the box with campy wrapping tape!!

But that would make it more expensive for PBK or Wiggle to buy the stuff from Italy or Japan in the first place. The only real factor should be the relative strength of the US $ vs the country of origin. Since very little of the items (except Brooks saddles) are made in England I still can't figure it out.

Not sure about why the prices are so good, but I do like the fact that they are low.

I used PBK to get Vittoria tubies for $38/each.

The price difference between the UK and US is simple - less middleman profit taking. US store owners often claim that products are sold from the UK for less than the US dealer cost.

What do the 6.6's typically cost here in US?
Thanks

Roughly $330 and up. Shipping maybe in or out. The retail is like $200 more, but obviously not selling at that PP. I lucked out on ebay for about $200 in my size. They run a little snug, but OK. BEST feature is a separate adjustment for the heel, which allows a set screw adjustment to make the heel fit very snug. Overall, I like them but not as comfortable as my Ergo Is.

er . . . it's not as if the GBP is having its finest hour.

More than that, I think it's really a question of GB dealers buying within the EU, cutting out various costs associated with more general US import and distribution, and then giving you a price that's VAT-free.
