Thread editing HELP!

I just posted some shoes and bars in the classifieds, but I screwed up the title and it is just showing up as a period. I tried editing the title but it is not showing the change in the classifieds, only when in the post. There is no option to delete the post. Is there a way to change the title so it shows up correctly or am I doomed to wasting (more) bandwidth?

I noticed that a long while ago when I tried to correct errors in the title of threads I atarted. I could not do it either. I post on a Yahoo Finance message board and you can completely change the title of a thread, even if you did not start the thread (Can change it for your post). Perhaps there is a way what we just don't know or it is a function of the system being used.
