I have a Polar HRM with my bike that I am very happy with.

However, I also want a wrist-top model for when I run. Unfortunately I have not been happy with the Polar watches. I have found lots of interference in the gym, I cannot replace the batteries on my own and the axis of the LCD is just wrong enough that I cannot glance at it on my wrist when I am wearing polarized lenses. I'm okay with needing a different strap than the one with my Polar cycle computer

Does anyone have any suggestions for HRM watch?
Timex? -user replaceable battery in watch and transmitter!
Suunto?
Seiko?
Garmin?

Thanks,

The new Polars for the wrist are digital coded transmission and don't have the interference problems. Beyond that, the batteries can be changed out by the owner. Expensive, but nice.

127$ GARMIN FORERUNNER 50 WITH HEART RATE + foot pod

currently on: http://www.tigzoo.com/

It's one of those blow-out sites (paypal accepted). User replaceable battery in the watch. If you do end up with the multi-pack and aren't interested in the GPS 18 module, give me a holler. I'm looking to experiment with such devices but don't have the $ to do so.

No connection to the site or Garmin.
