As we debate the relative virtues of extraordinary high end bikes, here's something from that luscious fixie site. Look what someone did with the refuse of capitalism for around $70 U.S. This shows real taste, IMHO.

And no dummy Ben: check out his article on wheel building linked at Sheldon Brown's site.

. . . fine looking bike! It would be one fine looking bike at 5 times that price, too!

BBDave . . . leaving now to go down to skulk around the local Price Chopper to look for a new frame!

. . . It costs $70, fer’ Pete’s Sakes! He’s not going to race it! It’s obviously just to ride around town and to have fun! Ease up!

We can’t all be true connoisseurs like you are, Mr. Lemond, er, Hamilton, er, Johnson, er, Merckxx, or whoever you really are! ;)

Can I buy just the thermoflask and the handlebar? ;)

Again, www.fixedgeargallery.com -- eye candies abound!

42x14 is kinda large for a fixie, isn't it?

Climb try a FIXEE again , this time use two brakes to control your downhill speed . You'll love not having to clean a drive train .

Hey Climb, re:

I don't know how large 'large' is, but one of my regular crew is riding a CSI with a 51x16.

I think we need to get together and go for a ride one of these days. Maybe when Shino is out in January, a little winter cruise? :)
