chorus vs record alloy cranks

I am looking for some alloy record cranks 175 53/39. I was wondering if anyone remembers the difference between the last generation of record and chorus alloy cranks. I assume they came with the same chainrings and the difference is mainly cosmetic. Thanks.

as I recall, they came with same chain rings and the spider was somewhat different. You can not go wrong with either. (I have them on my bike,)
