I have bought a pair of 2009 Centaur ergos, and I (for once) actually did read the instructions.... Bad idea. Can you mechanic types confirm/deny this:
-The manual says about the shifter cable casing: "Fit the end of the casing with the casing end aready fitted in the external slot of the ergo control unit". I find it impossible to fit the casing with the steel cable end on, only the naked casing. Which is correct?
The ergo lever body actually crushes the shifter housing against the handlebar if I use the median groove (to fit both casings in front of bar. Can I reshape the casing with a file there to make room for the casing?
Any insight from those who have worked with these is very welcome.
