Does the Deda 100 'dark metal' stem match the Chris King 'Pewter' headset spacers?

Anyone know? I'm going to freak out if I don't find out soon!

gee that don't know ....

But I can attest to the fact the the CK spacers of exemplary quality.
Mini jewels. I highly recommend em. Mine are in Mango Orange. ;)

Go to AspireVeloTech http://www.aspirevelotech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=HSB1L&Category_Code=CKNTS to see a good representation of the pewter color.

Not really. The Deda dark metal is more grey, whereas the CK pewter color has almost a purplish hue.

I have a bike on which I've alternated (in symmetric fashion) some silver and some black spacers. The black ones are for accent and pretty thin compared to the silver spacers. Silver & white are the dominant colors on the frame. Looks pretty good.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you may not have to have everything match perfectly. Sometimes contrast or difference is good.

Doesn't look like they have a color match, but this place has allot of other options...

Here's my bike if anyone would like to offer some suggestions:

http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=22793

I do have the grey Centaur bits.

I want to try some bars that only come in 31.8, and since my current stem is 26.0, I am in for a new stem and new bars, so I figured why not do some new spacers too? :)

Bars will probably be Newton Shallow Drop (in Dark Metal). If I do the Deda 100 stem in Dark Metal, what would you suggest for spacer color?

I should just go ride, right? :crap:

Mostly blue with a few thin red ones thrown in for variety.

The red will obviously be easy to match the CK headset. Blue shouldn't be too hard to come close.

I personally like the combo that you have going on right now. Everything matches. I'm one of those guys that say the seatpost and the stem have to match, but that's me.

Have you looked at these... http://www.canecreek.com/110_headset.html they offer one in grey. And you can get matching spacers http://www.canecreek.com/interlok-spacers.html

I hear you, but the seat tube already doesn't match the head tube, so there's no big reason for it all to be the same (IMO)

Is that like the carpet not matching the drapes? :p

Although the Deda dark metal color may be close to the Centaur grey, visually I like the way the black of the spacers and stem counterbalance the black of the fork, as well as of the seatpost and seatstays. If you are planning on getting the Deda bar, I would think about a black bar with a black stem (keep the one you have or maybe get either a Deda to match the bar or Thomson to match the seatpost), and then get black metal spacers (e.g., CK) rather than carbon. just my 2¢...

FWIW: I'd go with the Thomson X2 stem. I'm also one of those seatpost must match the stem guys. The stem must also be paralel with the TT. I didn't make the rules, but they must be followed.

Here's a more recent pic.

I think I'm going to go with the 3T Rotundo Pro bars and the matching 3T ARX stem with Chris King black spacers.

The bars on there right now are Deda 215s, but I'm itching for something new.
