What is the little nipple thing on the backside of the headtube on my vintage colorado? Only thing I could come up with is a grease fitting for the headset, but I don't think that is it.

You might also have a little nipple thingy on the inside of the right seatstay as well. That's a chain hanger. Comes in handy when removing the rear wheel for a flat fix. Jeff N.

You may also have two little nipple thingies on your chest...those are just nipples ;) ...although you can hang a chain from them if you wish.

Yep used that one when I changed a tire. Don't think I want to hang a chain on the other 2 Ouch!

If its chrome, it could've been the start of a studded collar for your head tube...the builder just got tired.
I think I have a pic of a headtube with a studded collar around here somewhere...
