Mine is the joint on the seatstay/seattube/downtube section. Too me there's nothing more sexy than a beautifully done set of seatstays joined to the lug/joint on the seattube. YOURS?

The seat cluster is also my favorite section - there's lots of room to personalize there and play with shapes and of course it's one of the more difficult sections to do well.

Next.

Cool Dave and your wrap around stays are the finest looking cluster in the biz. Can't wait for my cross bike to stare at.

Hmm, on my new bike (Scott CR1 SL Limited) there isn't much that attractive to look at, but the best parts are,...

1. Drop-outs. They did a nice job on them
2. The carbon weave cross-hatching looks kinda nice out in the sun
3. SRAM Red Powerdome rear cassette. It just looks cool on both sides.

again, the bike's not that much of a looker, but it works well.

Another voter for the seat cluster - like the nape of a lovely neck.

of course it has to be the seat cluster . . . that seems to be the area where personality is revealed, even though it may have little to do with the actual ride.

fork crown is also lovely, but that's pretty simple compared to all those tubes flowing together . . .

Handlebars.

If you're talking sexy, then it has to have gentle curves. Plus drop bars are IMO what really distinguish a cool road bike from all the other two-wheeled things out there.

Hey,
Until the average folk like myself have some of that tape it don't count. You can't have a sexy part if it doesn't exist. Right?

AR, in the spirit of continuous improvement, once you are up and running are you going to be researching chamfering, or is that already included? Having a hard time telling from the pics, but it looks right now like the tape is flat.

Louis ....

Wrap is highly chamfered to a nice edge. This is not easy to accomplish.
Proper chamfering is a core functionality.

Rest assured, it wraps perfectly. and it's beefy in the middle, so it will
not tear. :) It wraps so well that it indeed looks flat for that Liquid
Leather effect.

In this image, as a quick test, I just wrapped it over a pre-existing
prototype of the brown wrap on my bars.

Nice, however,

OT: The painter really went hog-wild on those DT shifter bosses. Is that frame ever going to be used again?

80's Record stuff is hard to beat as pure bike sculpture. No, the Shimano 600 headset isn't really sculpture, but it works better than the Campagnolo sculpture headset...... Way better.

I know that probably sounds CRAZY coming from someone like me that has sooooo many "blingy" bikes but my eyes are always drawn to solid paint jobs and, better yet, no decals....I really like the "head badge only" look of my newest ride and it really allows you the chance to appreciate the lines of the build without any commercial announcements to distract. I'm just about finished with the build on my new IF Crown Jewel single speed and the purity of the bike (NO IF cartoon-figure decals!) allowed me the freedom to add a few blingy components without being too over-the-top.....only things I'd change would be to have it be lugged and with a crowned fork which are my two favorite sexy features.

I like the integrated disc mounts/drop outs on an IF ti deluxe.

function and beauty!

I also like the seat stays on cannondales. The s bend always looked so cool to me.

Bikes are very sexy: (http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/news/tm_headline=accused---of-having-sex-with-his-bike--&method=full&objectid=19347288&siteid=64736-name_page.html)

????????????*** does this mean???????????

In my experience if you don't mask the DT shifter bosses the paint prevents the shifter hardware (which can be close tolerance) from sliding into position over the various areas where they are supposed to be installed. In addition, it looks like there is some paint in the hole where the mounting screw is to be installed. Seeing all that I thought that maybe this was a display bike, not one where the bosses were to actually be used. Happily, I was wrong, the issues mentioned above were not a problem for you and you use the bike. No sense in you getting all pissy and defensive about it. It was just a comment based on my concern and interest in the bike.

The bare top tube – lack of cables makes it easy to hold.

I also like how the brake bridge almost blends into the seat tube on a carbon frame.
