Removing graphics from Easton EA50 seatpost?

Howdy folks.

I got one of these cheap for my brother's fixie and alas the logos are half buried in the seat tube (a terrible, terrible thing ;^) Has anybody had any luck removing them without messing up the black finish?

I think acetone nail-polish remover will take them off if they're the kind of decals I'm thinking they are.
