I've always wondered, why aren't Titanium forks used?

Have you ever seen how much a titanium tube can flex when it's supported at only one end?

Seriously, though... there are a few out there. They're expensive and offer little (or no) benefits over relatively inexpensive carbon fiber options.

I had one (13?) years ago made by a company called Aeon. I liked it quite a bit until it was recalled due a few failing catastrophically at the crown. It was a great looking fork, and apparently, potentially deadly.

I've seen a few at 'cross races but don't know who makes 'em...

I just got a new custom Ti cross fork from Black Sheep. Only one ride so far but I can say it is smoooth. They make a road one also. Custom ones are about the same price as a good retail carbon fork.

Morati was a cool company setup in a former MIG factory in the Czech Republic. Apparently, the company ceased to be in 2006. I have a triple crank set of theirs that I used on my old OneOff Ti bike. It might even be "collectible" now!

Kona used to make one that was on the Hei Hei back in the mid 90's. It was so right in every regard.

The morati cranks go for >$500 on ebay.

There are pictures of broken Morati cranks and sibex forks all around the internet. I would not use them.
