Dear Serotta Buddies

Well I am finally going into limited production. I'll have a site running
in February. No more "Strip Tease." :p

I'll have wrap available in numerous colors for NAHBS.
(white, brown, black, and then red, blue, orange?, yellow?, pink?)

But NAHBS is about 60 days away. Is there any interest in wrap at the
end of this month (January) in the 3 primary colors of white, black and
a really sweet "Yam" which is a slightly darker honey brown.

I could make a few extras wraps in these colors now, for about 10 bikes
each in white, black and "Yam". Should I? I ask cause many phorumites
have been upset at the delay in the tardy release (the strip tease)

Your feedback is most appreciated.

Please understand that I have to ramp up with some caution.
The stuff ain't cheap to make and I assume the financial risks if this
adventure fails. I WON"T get a fed bailout.

I'd like to request 60 frn (federal reserve notes) for the wrap.
I'ts being make here in the USA.

Thanks again .... and sorry for all the procrastination .... ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

Ps .... guess who took a hide of wrap in white ?

Holy Mother of new bar tape. It is a Christmas miracle. I would like some brown.

Do you do paypal?

And my bars are super wide, could I get an extra few inches?

I'm excited now.

My name should be coming up soon on cpg's list and I want to see a roll of Ahneida's finest on those bars.
Fire it up!

Pictures .... ? Sure .... ;)

Here is the Yam, Yellow, White, Orange, Cobalt Blue, and Red

Black is not shown, cause well, black is black.

About 40 colors are available. I'm nervous about the more exotic
colors .... Plum, for example kicks butt ... sweet !!!! But .....
if they don't attract attention, I am stuck with an expensive
proposition.

Sorry for the poor image. I don' know how to get the camera to take
respectable closeups .... Where is BBD ?

I might add that these images where taken after a generous application
of Obenauf's Leather Protectant. Obenauf's dark en's the color only
slightly and offers, I do believe, substantial protection. Obenauf is
rather inexpensive too !!!!

The darker colors are in reality a bit ligher and the lighter colors are in
reality a bit darker.

Enjoy !

ok ok ..

I am getting the impression that I should do an extra hide in black,
yam and white ...

D-day in about 2-4 weeks.

Gimme a few days to figure out payment arrangements and how to ship.
This time, I'll pick up the shipping charges.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. Is the brown the same as the "Yam" or will there be a darker brown which will approximate Brooks Antique Brown?

Thanks,

Jon

I am in too, I am thinking a roll of black to start with and probably 2 rolls of red for the tandem. You get the picture that your Leather will sell very well.

Have you tried the sex shops in Manhattan, this stuff will work best as leather restraints

Extra inches a very good thing! Please let me know how to order.

" Extra inches a very good thing! "

The hide is being cut into strips starting from the point where at least
a continuous 84 inch is generated. As one moves into the center hide,
Longer pieces will be generated and will NOT be reduced/re-cut to 84 inches.
This if the hide generates a 90 inch strip, a 90 inch strip is delivered ... :hello:

Finally .....
us minority Clydesdales that ride wide bars can finally be accommodated!
"Extra inches is a very good thing !" :) ;) :p

This stuff is seamless ... which generates considerable waste
and hence other leather tapes (most, if not all) use seams. :(

This stuff is continuous. Ever pull on a seam made by XXXXXX?
Pee Wee Herman could pull the seam apart. Even Uncle William
could not pull this stuff apart, the result = nice tight finish.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!

Ahneida's tape rocks. You're gonna forget how to wrap bars after using this stuff; it lasts so long.

I suppose Sandy has already ordered his leather in his favorite color. When does a man his age stop being kinky?

My "beta" set is wearing well.

I put it on my single speed and it has been great in all weather conditions. Comfortable, grippy, and durable.

Actually Sandy order 10 wraps in .... can't say the color ....sorry ...

The wrap Kevan has was an earlier prototype and not one of my
favorite iterations. This new stuff is way better ... ;)

Gimme a few days/week or so to figure out the web site and ordering process.
I'll start the actual production process to make the stuff momentarily.

Oz been getting a lot of encouragement and
feedback which is most warmly appreciated. ;)

I suspect that Kelly Bedford will have also have it available too.

AR, is the bar tape skived?

Yes ! most definitely ;) .... Very nicely Chamfered.
The Chamfering is not easy to accomplish, getting it right is a challenge.

Thus it wraps rather nicely for a Liquid Leather presentation.

Ahneida Ride, definitely bump this thread when you're ready to start receiving PayPal or credit cards for the wraps!
Glad to hear things are coming along. :)

Sorry for the delay .... Please forgive me ....

The good new is .....
Production is not longer an issue. We can make the stuff ! ....

The bad news is that I now need to establish an e-commerce website.
Please have a bit more patience as a struggle to get an e-commerce
web site up and running ...

I suspect I'll use One Web Hosting (www.onewebhosting.com)

Building the site itself does not intimidate me too much ,
however integrating the e-commerce component is virgin territory for me.

Wow. I would think that in this day and age anyone with a PP account would be able to do this in a matter of hours.

I guess the e-economy is not as advanced as I thought.

check out these pages:

hPaypal express checkout (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_additional-payment-overview-outside)

Google Checkout (https://checkout.google.com/seller/integrate.html)

Google has a shopping cart system you can use to list your products, and have your customers check out with. You could integrate this into a simple website you made yourself with an HTML or a WYSIWYG editor if you didn't want to go the template route - a lot of templates are pretty wild and never seem to be just right, and doing yourself adds tons of personality.

Google also has lots of webtools that is pretty much copy and paste into your html code. I've integrated their analytics, maps with directions and calendars in my websites seamlessly with just cutting and pasting code.

If you decide to do it yourself I'd be glad to help.

I also have the Cobalt in the same version as well as another color that you all will soon see.

The two earlier versions that I have are also great and I have removed them, rolled them up, and put them in a bag in my mailbox. The first forumite to get here can have them.
