hi all,

i have 2 (dumb) questions about my Serotta build.

the frame is a 2009 CDA with carbon rear stays.

I am using full DA, but not sure if i should use a short cage or a mid cage rear der.

Also, not sure what size band to get for my front der. 28.6? 31.8? 34.9?

thanks in advance for the help....

your CDA uses a 34.9 clamp for the front derailluer and a short cage should be fine unless your running a triple and then you should use the long cage rear derailluer.i don't think Shimano makes a mid cage derailleur.their standard unit should be good for anything except a triple.
good luck with the build and post some pics when you get er' done.
cheers,

Scott

yes the "standard" rear der will handle a compact or a regular crank (not triple) and a rearcog to 27 (which is max Shimano 10 offers).... (Unlike Campy, they do not offer a medium rear cage - but then they do not need it for they do not offer a 29 tooth rear cog)

You will enjoy the bike - - CDA is one of my favorites.....PETE
