Anybody tried them? Looking for a pair of relatively cheap solid black bibs and Totalcycling has some Campy apparel bibs on sale for $60. Any idea of the chamois quality or fit?

I had a couple of pair of Campy's Next and Racing series bibs, chamis sucked. At 60 bucks for a pair I'd spend my money on Voler's bibs.

I didn't have any problem with the Chamois, but after a while, the lower backs started getting threadbare. It took a riding buddy to let me know that I should "Say 'no' to crack."

I have several pair of Campy's Racing Level bibs and bib knickers as well as a few pair of Campy Ray-Tech bibs. No complaints at all; they are some of the best I have ever owned. I like the chamois and have had no problems with wear. Having said that, the best bang for the buck by far are Voler bibs.

Watch the sales, sign-up for their club, (you will be e-mailed coupon codes), and shipping is free. Unless you are getting Campagnolo's Racing Level bibs for $60, I'd go with Voler.

I don't like them. I don't like the fit and I certainly don't like the chamois. Here's how they stack up against the other bibs I own:

(1) Assos F1 Mille S5 (2008)
(2) Assos F1 13 S2 (2005, 2007)
(3) Assos F1 Mille S2 (2004, 2007)
(4) Boure Elite (2007)
+++++++++++++++++++++++
(5) Castelli Cronos (2007)
(6) Campy Raytech (2007)
(7) PI Ultrasensor (2006)
(8) DeMarchi (2004)

Note: I basically just wear the Assos and the Boures. The Campy pad doesn't have the stretchability or the comfort I find with the Assos pad or the Boure.
