I've been collecting parts for a fixed gear build for about three years, and finally pulled the trigger on a frameset: an '08 Kona Paddy Wagon for $300.

Just need to get a cog and some cheap wheels to complete the package...Sugino crank, Campy headset, Tektro levers and brakes, and old Thomson post, Ritchey bars and stem, and some kind of saddle from the parts bin. Gearing will probably be 47x19 or x20, which should be ok for the little bit of flat riding we have around here. Actually, I'm hoping it will make the flat riding more worthwhile -- there's nothing more boring than doing intervals on a geared bike on a 3 mile stretch of flat MUP.

I've got some cheap wheels and cogs if you are interested. They're yellow, though!

Hmmm, bling vs. stealth...tell me more.
